FORMER TIDE PITCHER TOMMY HUNTER IS CALLED UP FOR RANGERS DOUBLEHEADER TODAY

By Dan Harralson

The Texas Rangers have called up former Bama pitcher Tommy Hunter to pitch Game 1 of today's doubleheader vs. the Oakland A's. Hunter is replacing pitcher Matt Harrison who is experiencing shoulder inflammation. Harrison has not yet been placed on the disabled list, meaning Hunter could be sent back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Hunter started three games in his rookie season in 2008. He was 0-2 with 9 strikeouts. Game 1 is set to start at 4:05 CT from Arlington, TX.
