This marks only the fifth time in school history a bama player has accomplished this feat, twice by DARREN WOOD and once each by ANDY PHILLIPS AND FRANK MENECHINO. The Tide got going early thanks to a two-spot highlighted by a first inning RBI double from Pre-season ALL-AMERICAN second basemen ROSS WILSON.
Bama also got a solid start from MIERS QUIGLEY,who bounced back after a rough start Saturday against Southeast Missouri State. Tonight's game became the first time this season that bama reached double digits in runs. The tide will play an afternoon matinee with Nicholls st Wednesday at 4:00, to be followed by bama basketball taking on Arkansas at 7 at Coleman Coliseum.
